Imported from Somalia, "Ogaden" Boswellia Rivae Frankincense is an abundant species of frankincense from the harsh desert landscapes of the northern African region.
This particular species of frankincense contains a good amount of oil and has a complex aroma when burned. The scent is earthy and spicy at times with hints of a sweet, woody complexity that is sure to stimulate the senses.
In the region, it is known as "Ogaden" and is collected by a culturally rich semi-nomadic people who sustainably live off of the land. The resin comes in about 1/4 inch to 1 inch chunks and is black and dark gray in color.
